PCFINE Committees

While PCFINE offers all its members a vibrant and supportive community, being part of a committee provides opportunities to be even more involved by working in small, friendly groups to achieve the goals of our mission. For more information on how often and where committees meet, please speak to committee chairs listed in the leadership section on this website.

Brunch Committee
PCFINE’s Sunday Morning Brunch Program hosts three-to-four events over the course of the academic year.  The brunches are small, informal gatherings during which clinical issues of interest to the community are addressed--either in the form of a case presentation or role play--and discussed.  The committee plans the issues and format, invites the participants, and coordinates the food to be served.

OnGoing Learning Committee
PCFINE hosts a variety of on-going learning opportunities for members including short courses and member-run groups for reading, writing, and consultation.  This committee generates ideas for on-going learning and reaches out to membership.

Program Committee
PCFINE sponsors two-three larger continuing education programs a year for the wider professional community of licensed mental health professionals interested in couple and family therapy. The committee conceives, shapes, budgets, advertises, and executes these popular events.

Membership Committee
The mission of the PCFINE Membership Committee is to increase, support and retain membership through publicizing PCFINE to mental health providers, integrating new members into the organization, and building a sense of community within the organization.

Technology Committee
Our website is both a cherished member resource and one of the few products we have available to the general public. It is our opportunity to show off our knowledge and our offerings.  The committee monitors and updates the website and needs content writers, data entry people, computer geeks, and technology visionaries.

Diversity Committee
The Diversity Committee reports to the Board. This committee advises the PCFINE community regarding curricula and other learning opportunities in order to expand our clinical thinking when working with couples and families who differ from the therapist in terms of race, national or ethnic origin, color, sex and sexual preference.
